All About me...
Hello! My name is Jennifer Schimmoller and I am a 16-year-old junior in high school. I have grown up with social media and was always jealous of the appearances of the people I saw on Instagram. I was constantly comparing myself to the perfectly skinny bodies of celebrities, athletes, and other girls my age. As I have gotten older, I have realized how social media has not only affected me, but my friends and other girls my age. This inspired my project and made me want to do something to help those girls who were experiencing the same things as me. I hope you can follow along as I work to inspire girls to see their bodies in a new light because ALL bodies are beautiful in their own way!

The goal of my passion project is to help girls be more confident with their appearance especially with the constant influence of social media. Along with this blog, I am creating a podcast series which will be where I reach my intended audience, consisting of mostly young girls in middle school through high school. Middle school through high school is the crucial time where girls bodies are changing and they begin to notice how they look different compared to other girls around them and online. Within my podcast I plan to talk about my personal insecurities and experiences with my body and interview other body positive advocates and their journey with inspiring young girls. In addition, I want to provide my audience with ways to be more confident and happy with their unique body types.
